With the retirement of Sheriff Robert Hilts and the Appointment of Dennis Robinson as the new Sheriff some changes have been made at the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
We are proud to announce that Don Maiville has accepted the position of Undersheriff. Don worked as an Officer in Ingham County before coming to Lake County in July of 1992. Don has worked as a Road Patrol Deputy, Road Patrol Sergeant, and Detective Sergeant before accepting the position of Undersheriff. Don has received several commendations for his performance as an Officer and is well versed in police procedures. Don has excellent communication skills and is a team player and will excel at his new position.
We are also proud to announce that John Bennett has been promoted to Detective Sergeant. John started his career as a corrections Officer in the Lake County jail in 2000. Since being assigned to the road patrol John has served as Marine/ORV Officer, Pleasant Plains Officer, Secondary Road Patrol Officer, K9 Handler, and Road Patrol sergeant. John has earned many commendations for his performance and is active on the dive team. Please welcome John to his new position.
We are also proud to announce that Brad Nixon has been promoted to Road Patrol Sergeant. Brad started his career with the department in April of 1995 and has worked as an ORV enforcement Officer, and Road Patrol Officer. Brad has been an active dive team leader, an accident investigator, and has received several commendations for his performance. Please congratulate Brad Nixon on his promotion.
